TYLER JORDAN

When he’s not on the baseball diamond or stretching his legs on the way to his high school English class, Tyler Jordan can be found in the woods doing what he loves most — hunting.

Since Tyler was in diapers, he has been saturated with legendary tales of the Barbwire Buck, Heartattack and countless number of turkeys that have been deemed impossible to kill. And for that he is grateful.

“Ever since I was born, hunting has been a part of my life,” said Tyler. “My dad never forced me to go to the woods, but hearing all the stories and seeing the photos of all these huge deer, I knew I wanted to have my own stories to tell one day.”

And Tyler is getting his chance to tell a few stories, even though he doesn’t like the way they all turn out.

“I recently missed a 170-inch deer in Georgia,” he said. “It was a long shot and it was getting late, but I knew I could make a good shot. Turns out I missed, and now I have to go another season thinking about it.”

Even as a youngster, Tyler understands the importance of upholding hunting in a positive light. He practices what his father taught him about ethical hunting and takes great pride in making the right choices in the woods and in school.

And as for following in the steps of his father, Bill Jordan, well, he’s definitely on the right path.

“I get asked a lot about my future and what I want to do. I love hunting and I love this industry, but Mom and Dad said I have to go to school, so that’s what I’m doing.”
